Brighten up your Tuesday evenings and dive into the forró universe with music and dance!

Course: A whistle stop tour through 8 decades of forró and lots of dancing. We'll use a combination of pre-recorded exercises (to avoid music/movement sync issues!) and live exercises to practice a wide variety of solo skills while learning more about the musicians who built the forró-verse!

Registration: fill in this form!

Or register for the first class as a free taster class at this link before deciding!

Time: Tuesday at 19:30-20:30 (Belgian time)

Dates: March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

Price: 35-60 euros.

Given the difficult times we are currently facing, we want to ensure no-one misses out for financial reasons so you can choose the amount which you can afford. Payment details will appear after submitting the registration form.

Language: English*

Can I join? Simple answer: yes! It's suitable for all levels, although to get the most benefit I recommend that you should be familiar with the forró basic steps (vai e vem, dois pra là, opening step and potentially a simple turn). More advanced students can expect tips and challenges to explore the exercises further.

Would you like to receive personalised feedback? You can add a feedback video to the course for 10 euros. Send me a practice video (3-4 mins) during the course and I'll send you a video within 10 days with feedback, tips and suggestions. Feedback can be given in English, French, Portuguese or Spanish.

Any questions? Email me at dance@sarahforro.com

*I'm happy to provide short clarification in another language if specific questions arise, but I will be teaching the class in English. If you would like to attend but English is a problem for you, get in touch and we can explore potential solutions!

If the covid-measures here in Belgium are relaxed during the course, we may adapt the course times and/or dates to allow in-person classes to restart. I will keep you informed if this happens and ensure the recordings are available to prevent anyone affected by the changes from missing out.

Classes will be recorded to enable you to catch-up if you have to miss a session. This also means you can still join the course after it has started.

My inspiration and enthusiasm to develop this course came after attending a blues course with Leigh & Daire. Hats off to them for creating an amazing online format!
